What we collect
AudVia collects only what's necessary to improve the app and respond to inquiries:
- Anonymized, aggregated usage events (tour views, zone views, approximate visit duration, language)
- GPS location — on-device only, used to sort stops by distance. Never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Content you submit via the contact form (name, email, message)
How it's used
Usage data is used to identify popular stops, improve content, and plan new tours. Contact data is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Third parties
- Stadia Maps — renders map tiles. Receives your IP address when the map loads.
- Umami — privacy-first analytics. No cookies, no cross-session identifiers.
- Resend — email delivery for contact form messages.
- Stripe — processes payments. Receives your payment details directly; we never see them.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising measurement (see below).
Advertising & measurement (Meta)
We use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure how well our ads perform. This shares limited events with Meta — page views and purchases (value, currency) — along with a hashed (encrypted) email, your IP address, user agent, and Meta cookies (_fbp/_fbc) when present. It's used only for ad attribution and measurement; we do not sell personal data.
To opt out: use your Meta account's ad settings, your browser preferences, or a tracker blocker. The Pixel does not run on the admin dashboard.
Retention
Contact logs are retained for 12 months. Analytics data is aggregated and has no expiration.
Your rights
If you're in the EU or California, you have the right to access your data, request deletion, and object to processing. We do not sell personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@audvia.app.
